About Us

Rishi foundation’s primary mission is to promote volunteerism. The world is filled with seemingly intractable problems. We are always preoccupied with our family, our finances and the stresses of day to day life. Is it possible to think about depleting groundwater, deteriorating environment and increasing wealth inequality in the middle of juggling with everyday life? It seems hopeless as any endeavour would not realistically seem to make a difference anyway. We in the Rishi foundation think otherwise. Volunteerism does work, especially in a democratic system. As a matter of fact, democracy is in danger of dysfunction if citizens look away and put their entire faith in career politicians. Democracy is too important to be left to politicians. The answer is volunteerism. Please join us and check out our activities page for more details.
We are about volunteerism. We are just a band of people with regular jobs and families to care for. We give a part of our time or income for the benefit of the larger society.

To cut the long story short, we are volunteers. Come join us and if you wish to know how you can chip in, get in touch with us and visit the “our activities” page to know what we are upto. You can also suggest ideas on what other things we can or should do.
